What Is Telemetry?

Telemetry is remote monitoring-sensors on/in hives that track data in real-time and send alerts if something goes wrong. It's professional beekeeping meets modern agriculture tech.

What We'll Monitor

Hive Metrics

Data Privacy & Ownership

  • Data access is defined by contract. Customers get read-only dashboard access and export tools.
  • No customer-identifiable data sharing. CBC does not share customer-identifiable data with third parties.
  • Aggregated data: CBC may use aggregated, anonymized data unless explicitly waived in writing.
  • Security: Encrypted end-to-end with Azure-grade controls.
  • Portability: If you leave us, you can export your data.

Do I have to use telemetry?
No. Tiers 1 and 2 work perfectly without it. Telemetry is an add-on for people who want real-time data and predictive monitoring.
What if I have no internet?
Our edge gateway can work offline and sync when internet is available. We're optimizing for rural areas.
Can multiple properties be monitored?
Yes. You can manage hives across multiple properties from one dashboard. Each property gets its own sensor setup.
Is this a subscription lock-in?
No. You own the data. The cloud service is a subscription add-on, but you can cancel anytime and export your data.
Will this help me get better prices for honey?
Potentially. Data-backed harvest records (no disease, optimal harvest timing, documented quality) can support marketing your honey to quality-conscious buyers.
